Happy Friday Everyone!
Happy September, the FIRST month of Fall! We are finally adjusting to the back to school schedule and enjoying some cooler temps and the beautiful fall foliage!
One – Happy Birthday to Aurora!
Shop Cat Birthday Gifts Here:
Well, we celebrated Oliver’s 1st birthday in July and now it was Aurora’s turn! It is SO fun to have these two blue eyed cuties in our house and they are just SUCH a blessing! Of course, I spoiled Aurora rotten just like I did with her brother in July. Ha, ha. I don’t think every birthday will have this much spoiling for them, but there is just something about 1st birthdays! Plus, I really wanted some cute photos of them turning 1! So, Aurora was gifted an ADORABLE pink couch (Amazon find!) for her birthday and she just LOVES it. She did not love her birthday bandana though, so I did the best I could with these photos!

Aurora was our second kitten we brought home and she’s Autumn’s cat. She has the same dad as Oliver, but a different mom/litter. Oliver came from a litter of only 3, so he was much more spoiled when we got him from the breeder whereas Aurora came from a litter of 9 and mostly boys! When we brought her home her whiskers were chewed off and she was a tiny little 4 pounds and very wild (as in not handled much) compared to Oliver. It took some time, but she’s really turned into such a gentle and sweet baby girl. Oliver is her best friend and Rose is her grandma! She loves to watch, play and she never fusses for food or attention! She loves to lay in her condo by the window and watch the birds, flowers blow in the breeze and the leaves falling of the tree. She is our very mellow/chill cat and really is just so easygoing. We just love her so much! She looks tiny here, but she is now 12 lbs!! Ragdolls get big, even the girl cats!

I got her an assortment of toys from off of Amazon for her birthday. I saw the pink Stanley mug and just had to get it for her! She has her ‘birthday cake’ in a shape of a ‘1’ on a plate. She had a good birthday!
Two – Latest Happenings
The high school that Autumn goes to does school photos on the FIRST day of school! So, I got her prints back already for her sophomore photos. It is SO weird not to have school photos of Nathan this year with him in college. Just another reminder that he’s grown up and an adult in college now. He is LOVING college and I’m so happy for him!
Autumn had her first football game where she had a hiphop routine with her Lancerettes team. Nathan came along to see all his old high school friends and we both wore our alumni shirts. It was a nice night and I’m looking forward to more football games!
Three – Homemade Yogurt
Shop Yogurt Maker:
I got a yogurt making machine off of Amazon before summer break and never got around to using it until recently. The yogurt is SO good, so good!!! And I just did the beginner/amateur recipe. I love fruit parfaits, but honestly this yogurt was so creamy, a little sweet and delicious all on its own too! For the recipe I used, I used 2% milk (4 cups), sugar (only 2 tablespoons and it is divided between 8 jars!) and a yogurt starter (2 tbsp of yogurt from a Vanilla tub of yogurt from the store). It takes about 8 hours for the yogurt to ‘bake’. You’ll need a liquid thermometer to get the water you pour in the tub (around the yogurt jars) to the exact temperature that is needed before you close it and start the process. It really was super easy and I can’t wait to make another batch!
Four – Latest Shows I Finished / Latest Books I’ve Read
The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley – This book is dark and creepy… perfect for the fall! The writing style reminded me a lot of The Paris Apartment, just in how it is spooky and mysterious, but it has a completely different topic. This book is about Bella who is haunted by something from her past as is a lot of others in the town where this book takes place. The Manor, an elite resort is built in the woods of this town and it brings in the rich who don’t understand the mysteries and secrets that lie awake in the woods. Bella comes back to visit the resort and is determined to set the truth free. This book has some odd parts, like the birds… creepy and just so dark. It’s a fun read, but don’t read it before bed!

I go in Ultra probably once a year and it is to get my birthday freebie! This year I got a tiny tube of the SmashBox PhotoFinish. I’ve used it before and I thought the small size would be perfect for a vacation! I enjoy taking my time in the store and browsing everything on my birthday trip and I always come home with some new items. Autumn has been raving about the Ouai Shampoo and Conditioner, so I thought I’d try it out myself. I REALLY like the Tarte Double Take, it is a gel liner on one side and a liquid liner on the other side. The liquid liner is super thin, which I love!! I even got compliments on my eyeliner from Autumn, so it is a total WIN! The Anastasia Volumizing Tinted Brow Gel I need some practice with… I thought it’d be nice to have something I could just swipe over my brows on quick mornings, but it is a little trickier to apply than I’d like… so I’m still not sure if I like it. The Tarte Fake Awake I haven’t tried yet, but I love Tarte everything, so I’m sure I’ll love it. I also grabbed a small trial size MAC Matte Lipstick in a Warm Teddy shade for the fall.

I saw this Ello Nova 18 oz Glass Travel Mug with Straw in Beige at Walmart (for under $10) and HAD to have it! I love it for infused water AND iced coffees! It fits perfectly in my cup holder in my car and holds a lot of liquid! Dish washer safe too!

I’ve been working on our storage in the unfinished part of the basement and I’ve been wanting some tags to stick on my storage tubs. I found THESE on Amazon and I love that they stick on the front of the tub and then you can take a business card or white piece of paper and print out what’s in it (or handwrite if you prefer that) and tuck it into the clear sleeve. So easy and it has really helped me to organize my tubs.
My running coach suggested these high protein waffles from Kodiak for before my long (double digit) runs and I LOVE them!!! They’re great post run too, you’ll see I enjoy one of them with eggs, berries and my Truvani protein shake. Truvani has been sending me a lot of freebies lately and this Pumpkin Spice protein shake is SO good. Sometimes I’ll mix a tablespoon of it and then a tablespoon of their chocolate protein powder together with water and it’s like a chocolate PSL! So, so good!

I just love Vuori… maybe a little too much. I recently purchased these Boyfriend Joggers in Goldenrod Heather (SO perfect for the fall!) with my $30 birthday coupon and I have been wearing them every.single.week!
And, just one last photo of my cuties!! My mom was over to help me pull weeds and get my garden beds in shape and we kept seeing the kittens looking out the window at us!! I went inside and my mom took a photo of me with them. So, so cute!! I love my sweet babies!
I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend!
