This is the third year in a row that I have ran in the Halloween Go! 10K, the first year I was a cat, second year Sookie from The Stackhouse series… this year, I found a pink cow girl costume for $4.99 (well, it was $10 but I had a $5 giftcard) on Amazon. I love the pink mustache!

Here I am after the race with my medal bling. Well, I was hoping to set a new PR with this race, figuring I ran it in 2010 at 1:05:15 and in 2011 at 1:05:45… But, nope… I don’t even want to type this, but I finished at 1:07:02. BLAH. I think I have just had too much going on this weekend– Friday night I ran 11 miles (because I am at the end of my half marathon training now, so there is a long run once every week!), then we had to be up for Baby Mania sale by 6am, then that was a good part of the day… oh, and I have had a cold I caught from Autumn since last Friday, its been more sinusey but also a little stomachish. Sigh. And, oh what else, we had the wedding last weekend. My focus was just not on the race, and I was actually not even looking forward to it because it was just ONE more thing to do. I wouldn’t have ran 11 miles on Friday, and would have given my muscles more time to recoup, but it was the only time I could get my long mileage in… I guess everyone has a flop race every now and then, it happens. 🙁
ANYHOW, that is my excuse. And, I have my half marathon in Disney next month, so I am really hoping to be healthy, and a lot more relaxed so that I can put my best mind and physical self towards it!!
Oh, and BRIAN did AWESOME. He shaved a ton of time off of his time from last year! Go, Brian!
