Today is an exciting day, because not only am I sharing a recipe for Holiday Eggnog Glazed Snickerdoodles, BUT I’m also joining 30 total bloggers for a Christmas Festival Blog Hop this week! Kendra from Joy In Our Home was kind enough to pull this wonderful blog hop together. Be sure to check out all of our recipes, decor and more by scrolling down to the very bottom of this post! If you’re following along, then you probably just stopped by from Country Side Cravings. I definitely want to try her Bean Cheese Breakfast Tacos soon!
Snickerdoodles are always a popular Christmas cookie, but sometimes it is fun to add a little more to a simple recipe to glam it up for a cookie exchange or to make the holidays just a little more special. Today I’m sharing how to make a super easy eggnog glaze to add to your snickerdoodles cookie! It is super quick and DELISH! The husband and kids gave it their stamp of approval!
How to Make Holiday Eggnog Glazed Snickerdoodles
Now I’ll share this super easy recipe for an eggnog glaze, which only needs 3 ingredients (all of which, you’ll probably have around your house already!).
Thanks to Krusteaz, I was sent another delicious-filled box of goodies! If you remember HERE, they sent me a box of Pumpkin Spice goodies and I shared my Pumpkin Spice and Marshmallow Whoopie Pies. They sent me three different boxes of cookies, their Snickerdoodle, Triple Chocolate Chunk and Butter Vanilla Sugar. All of these are just fantastic, trust me… I know! I also got some sprinkles, cookie cutters, baggies to put the cookies in and a tote bag!
I wanted to share this awesome link to the Cookie Helper, a fun quiz Krusteaz created that will help you find the perfect cookie recipe. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what cookies to make for your cookie exchange party and this Cookie Helper helps you find the perfect cookies for you to bake! I took the quiz and it told me that my perfect cookies would be Gingerbread Snickerdoodles, Cranberry Orange Vanilla Cookies, Chocolate Stuffed Graham Double Peanut Butter Cookies and Jolly Gingerbread Cookie Sticks. Yum!
Now, let’s get going on the recipe. Like I said, ONLY 3 ingredients! You’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 Cup of Eggnog
- 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
Directions:
Mix all three ingredients together! I put the glaze in a piping bag with a thinner tip and it worked like a charm to spread the glaze onto the cookies.
I also made up some of the other cookies that Krusteaz sent me and packaged them up in the little snowflake bags that Krusteaz sent me. Such a cute cookie exchange gift!
Do you have a favorite drink to have while baking? I always love to make hot cocoa, decked out with whipped cream and sprinkles!
Each day of the Christmas Festival Blog Hop, we’ll be bringing you a different theme! If you want to start at the beginning of the Christmas Festival Recipes, be sure to visit Life Love Larson. She has a delicious recipe for Cranberry Orange Pecan Scones.
