Friday night our church/Nathan’s school had trunk or treat and I decided to participate in the trunking!
I decided to do a haunted Thomas the train theme, because Nathan LOVES Thomas and we have A LOT of Thomas stuff laying around… so, why not use it and ‘spook’ it up? I had two different trains running on two different tracks, and I put candy in their empty coal cars. For lights, I had a strand of ghost lights around the top of my car, and a lit pumpkin inside the circle track. I brought in some moss (ow! totally need to vacuum!) and rocks… fake leaves. I even had a little lake with boats. It turned pretty nice, figuring it was my first attempt at decorating my trunk! Ha! I even had a moon and some bats.
Nathan was SO excited about the haunted train theme we did… after all of the trick or treating was done, he had a group of kids over by our car and Nathan told them alllll about his trains, their names, speed, etc. It was quite precious :o)-
Here is a couple of pictures of the kids getting their candy :o)- Autumn caught on QUITE quickly.
I was SO excited because I won THIRD place in the trunk or treat contest! I won a $10 Blockbuster gift card and I also received a cute card. I was so excited… I can’t remember the last time I won a contest. Jeremi won third place in the pumpkin carving contest, too! What a fun night!
