Today I picked up Nathan from school during my lunch hour and when I got to my parents house to drop him off, my mom told me that Autumn was breaking out into a rash. It wasn’t too bad, so I thought maybe we could wait and see if it cleared up by the time I got home from work. Well, when she woke up from her nap and by the time I got home from work it was a lot worse! The poor girl! She was sick last week and has been on amoxicillin for almost a week and the doctor said that an allergic reaction to the antibiotics can show up even this late. She did not have anything out of the ordinary today to eat and since it is itchy he doesn’t believe it is a heat rash. Also, Jeremi is allergic to amoxicillin so Autumn might also carry this allergy.
Poor thing! The doctor told us to give her Benadryl and to use Cortizone 1% cream on her. I hope it clears up by tomorrow morning or I may take her in to see Dr. Atterberry again! Luckily, it isn’t on her face!
