We enjoy having an Echo Dot in almost all of the rooms in our home, because it makes daily tasks much easier. We can tell Alexa to turn off the lights in the house before we head out, or if I am sitting on the couch and I want the kitchen lights turned off (they cause a glare on my laptop screen), I can tell Alexa to turn off those specific lights in our home.
We have had the Echo Dot in our home since the beginning. We really love the new Echo Dot 3rd generation, because of its new and better speaker. We listen to music everyday on our Echo Dot and we can tell the music is crisper and we can turn it on louder with its new more powerful speaker. The updated fabric design goes wonderfully with the farmhouse style decor in our home and it’s wonderful that the price is still only $49.99.
It’s convenient to put an Echo Dot in every room, so that you can make a family announcement on all of the Echo Dots at once, ask it for information or the weather, play your favorite music in a multi-room music grouping, set timers and alarms and control compatible smart home devices.
It is really easy to set up your Echo Dot. Just plug it in, download the Alexa App on your phone and follow the directions to add your new device. You’ll need to connect it to your home internet, log into your Amazon account and then you’ll be ready to start asking Alexa questions!
The next-generation Echo Dot features a new fabric design and curved shape. It’s also available in a variety of colors, such as Charcoal, Heather Gray and Sandstone, which gives you even more design power in blending it in with your home’s decor.

Interacting with Alexa is as simple as asking a question. Just ask her to play music, read the news, control your smart home, tell a joke, and more—Alexa will respond instantly. Whether you are at home or on the go, Alexa is designed to make your life easier by letting you voice-control your world.
Echo and Alexa will make your life so much more convenient. It lets you turn on the lights, set timers, ask for information, etc. If your hands are busy in the kitchen, holding a child or you’re just too tired to get up off the couch, then you’ll love having an Echo Dot nearby. All you need to say is, “Alexa” when starting a question or command.
