I am excited to tell you about a new product called Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ for Dry Eyes and it is WONDERFUL for me, because I spend so much time looking at the screen when I’m working on blog posts. It also helps freshen up my eyes throughout the day, which helps me to be more productive. I’m also sharing a tutorial on how to make a Homemade Eye Makeup Remover! It’s all natural with ingredients from around your house, works on waterproof makeup and is inexpensive to make. Plus, you can store the Eye Makeup Remover Pads in an adorable little mason jar and keep them on your bathroom counter.
Clear Eyes® is the #1 selling brand of eye drops. It is exciting that now they are selling Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™, a unique eye drop that is preservative free.
Preservatives are added into eye drops to make sure no bacteria grow in the bottle itself. The problem is, they don’t contribute to eye relief, and some people are sensitive to them. Preservative free eye drops exist, but they are expensive and sold in inconvenient, wasteful single-dose vials. Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ is the first preservative free eyes drop in a multi-dose bottle at retail in the US.
You can find this product at your local Walgreens in the Eye Care aisle. This is where I found the Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ for Dry Eyes that I purchased. There is also a Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ Multi-Symptom that is available.
Homemade Eye Makeup Remover Pads
Making your own Homemade Eye Makeup Remover Pads is SO easy! All you need is three ingredients and you probably have most of these items at home already.
You’ll also need some makeup remover cotton pads. I prefer the deluxe ones that Walgreens sells with the texture on the backside. This textured yet gentle side helps with removing stubborn eyeliner.
First pour in 2 tablespoons of witch hazel and then 2 tablespoons of water.
Next, add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Microwave it for 30 seconds in the microwave and mix the ingredients.
This is what your the Eye Makeup Remover will look like in your mason jar after you’ve mixed it.
Now you can add your pads! I like to use a shorter mason jar, so that the wipes stay fresh and that I can make up a new batch every other week. I just love the fresh smell of the witch hazel and it really does do a good job at removing stubborn eye makeup!
Using the Makeup Remover Pads
Now I will show you how well the Eye Makeup Remover pads work. I am wearing eye makeup in the above photo (eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara). *Make sure you squeeze out the pad over the mason jar to release any extra solution, otherwise I have found there is just too much of it on the pad.*
This is what the pad looked like after I removed my eye makeup on one eye.
If you look at the photo above, you’ll see that I’ve removed the makeup on my eye on the left. These Eye Makeup Remover Pads really do work wonders!
