What’s in the July Box

The theme for the July box is Salon-in-a-Box and it was designed to remove toxins from your personal care routine to support your wellness. This box has a lot of great everyday recipes in it, such as sulfate and paraben free Shampoo and Conditioner that is scented with the all natural essential oils included in this box. I’m sharing a recipe for a DIY dry shampoo that was included in the box, which we all know we’re too busy to wash our hair every.single.day, right? I know you’ll love these recipes as much as I do. It is so fun to make beauty products that are good for you AND that smell good when you add a beautiful aroma of your choice instead of relying on toxic chemicals.

Salon Day Diffuser Blend

The Diffuser Blend this month is the Salon Day Diffuser Blend, which gives an uplifting aroma reminiscent of a day at the salon. I whipped it up in THIS essential oils diffuser I found off Amazon. It comes in several different colors and I love its compact size and neutral color. It worked nicely at diffusing this Salon Day Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.

 

 

Recipe #1 & 2: Strong & Long Shampoo and Strength & Length Conditioner

I was excited to see a recipe for the Strong & Long Shampoo and Strength & Length Conditioner in this month’s box. It’s so hard to find an all natural shampoo and conditioner these days that also makes your hair feel great. And, did you know that Rosemary helps support hair growth?

 

To make the Strong & Long Shampoo, open the shampoo base and add Rosemary and Spearment Essential Oils directly into the shampoo. Close and shake for at least 30 seconds to mix. To make the Strength & Length Conditioner, open the conditioner base and add Rosemary and Spearment Essential Oils directly into the conditioner. Close and shake for at least 30 seconds to mix. Leave the conditioner on for 1-2 minutes and then rinse.

 

 

Recipe 3: DIY Dry Shampoo

We’ve all been spending more time at home and haven’t had as many things to attend (although, it seems more and more things are opening up!). I thought this DIY Dry Shampoo couldn’t have come at a more perfect time than one where we are all making our hair last a little longer. If you have brown or darker hair, there is even a tip for adding cocoa powder, which I did below!

 

 

To make this recipe, mix cornstarch with cocoa powder (if you have dark hair) or you’ll use additional cornstarch if you have light hair. Mix almond oil with Fit Essential Oil blend. Stir it into the dry shampoo. This will add an uplifting aroma to your dry shampoo and help balance your scalp’s oil production.

 

To use, dip a makeup brush into the mixture and apply to your scalp or any area your hair tends to get oily.
