The Creative Corner Link Up Party & Weekly Recap – 08/21/16

Welcome back to our DIY/Craft Link Up Party! Thank you for stopping by every week!

On Wednesday, the kids started school… 5th grade for Nathan and 2nd grade for Autumn! They had a half day for the first day and then a full day on Thursday and Friday. It seems to be going well! On Thursday morning I drove out to Queeny park, which is a beautiful park yet challenging due to its mammoth sized hills. I had never run there before and wanted to test it out before I had to run 16 miles there (4 times around!) this Saturday. I did great running the one 4 mile loop on Thursday and on Saturday I completed all 4 loops (16 miles!). It was REALLY challenging, though (mentally and physically) and I am glad we aren’t running there again for marathon training! lol!



The kids started cross country and here is a photo of them stretching. I had forgotten their clothes for them to change into, so I had to bring them up after school and I was able to snap this photo. 🙂 And, magazine sales have started again at school… this is the kids (not mine) favorite fundraiser, because they get keychains (each year it’s a different theme) for sales. This year it is Emoji (big surprise) keychains. There is even two ‘secret’ keychains and one of them is a chocolate ice-cream one (as the principal called it- lol).
