I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today I wanted to share something a little personal with the women, gals and females that stop by Curly Crafty Mom. Recently, I asked myself what matters to me the most when I’m experiencing discomfort, especially during that time of the month. I gave it some thought and realized that one of my favorite little routines is to clean our bathroom in the hall that has our tub in it and after it’s all sparkly and clean I enjoy a spa night to myself later that evening once the kids have gone to bed. Usually this spa night consists of a facial, a bathtub FULL of bubbles (the bubbles are a requirement), a magazine or book and possibly an at home mani/pedi. 
A clean bathroom, a relaxing bath, taking care of my skin and just an hour or two to myself is what makes me feel recharged and happy. But, that’s not all that can make help during that time of the month. Using a product that is comfortable and that I can store easily in my bathroom makes me feel good, too! Making your very own face mask at home can save you a lot of money, time (no running to the store if you plan ahead) and the ingredients are fresh! You can also freeze the mask in little bags what you don’t use up within a week and then you can thaw them out and use them again later!
Shopping for your Spa Night
I went to Walmart and picked up the three ingredients I needed for my face mask and I also picked up U by Kotex® Cleanwear® Ultra Thin Pads – Style N’ Store Pack, Regular 29 count and U by Kotex® Barely There® Liners – Style N’ Store Pack, 80 count. There were several different designs to pick from and I decided to go with the same design on the box for both of mine.
Once I got home, I started to work on putting together the face mask.
3 Ingredient Chocolate Face Mask
1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup of Honey
1/4 cup of Strawberry Yogurt
Mix together in a bowl and refrigerate. Mixture will stay good for a week.
To Freeze Unused Portion: Divide into 1/4 cup portions and pour into ziplock bags and freeze and thaw overnight in refrigerator when ready to use again.
I put the face mask on right before I get into my bubble bath and then it has time to absorb into my skin. It also smells SO good, so I don’t mind leaving it on for an hour or more while I take a bath. If you are putting it on and are in a rush, I would leave it on for about 10-15 minutes to let it do its work.

Chocolate is great for your skin (and your taste buds!). This facial IS edible, but I would save it for your skin! Chocolate is high in anti-oxidants and it also contains anti-aging properties, too.
