Unwind Diffuser Blend

The Diffuser Blend this month is the Unwind Diffuser Blend, which has a combination of essential oils in it that will help you unwind after a stressful or long day. I recently purchased a larger essential oils diffuser for our family room (find it HERE), since it is such a large open space. It worked nicely at diffusing the Unwind Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.

 

 

Recipe #1: Rose Sugar Scrub Soap

I truly enjoy a well made soap and this Rose Sugar Scrub Soap feels so good on the skin. You’ll need 0.5 oz glycerin soap base, 1 tablespoon almond oil, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon rose clay, 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol, 4 drops Orange Essential Oil, 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil and 4 drops of Tranquility Essential Oil Blend.

 

To make the Rose Sugar Scrub Soap:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the rubbing alcohol with the clay.
  2. In a microwave using 15 second intervals, melt the soap base with the almond oil.
  3. Once soap is just melted, add the essential oils and stir to mix.
  4. Add rose clay mixture and stir to mix.
  5. Add sugar and stir. Once the sugar is added the soap will quickly cool and become very thick.
  6. Pour into soap mold and allow to completely cool.

To Use: Cut the bar into 1 inch sections. Use in the shower or bath on skin to cleanse and exfoliate. This scrub is best used on your body, not your face.

 

 

Recipe 2: Herbal Surface Cleaner

To make the Herbal Surface Cleaner, you’ll need a 2 oz spray bottle, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of distilled water, 5 drops Oregano Essential Oil, 10 drops Orange Essential Oil and 5 drops of the Tranquility Essential Oil Blend.

 

To make the Herbal Surface Cleaner:

  1. In a spray bottle, mix all essential oils together.
  2. To use, shake and spray on a surface and wipe away. The vinegar and oregano aroma will evaporate quickly after being wiped away (~15 minutes).
