I’m thrilled to be guest posting for Carrie today while she is off having an amazing time in Italy. I hope she’s enjoying some gelato right now!

I’m all about style on a budget, so I love taking basic pieces and making them more interesting with fun accessories. I’m well into my second trimester of pregnancy right now, so I’m trying to make the most of my maternity wardrobe. A tee shirt and jeans is an easy go-to look for me, and by getting creative with accessories, I can change up this look without feeling like I’m always wearing the same thing.



Bright earrings (I’m obsessed with these leather Nickel and Suede ones!) and a colorful necklace added the perfect amount of color to the neutral jeans, tee, and simple sandals. I wore this on a family outing to go get ice cream, which is pretty much my favorite summer activity. Miraculously I managed to keep my chocolate ice cream off of these white pants!

I’ll leave you with this picture of my son Jona thoroughly enjoying his ice cream during our outing (Betty Rae’s Ice Cream if you’re local–so good!). No doubt about it, he’s my kid.
