New Year New Me Diffuser Blend

The Diffuser Blend this month is New Year New Me Diffuser Blend, which has a combination of essential oils in it that will uplift and calm you for a New Year and New YOU! I recently purchased this neutral white/gray diffuser that is smaller and will fit perfectly in a decorative tray (find it HERE). It worked nicely at diffusing the New Year New Me Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.

 

 

Recipe #1: Morning Glory Body Powder

This powder is wonderful to use after you take a shower, to help dry you off with a light perfume. For the Morning Glory Body Powder, you’ll need 1 Tablespoon of Kaolin Clay, 2 Tablespoons of Cornstarch, 1 Teaspoon Zinc Oxide, 1 Teaspoon Almond Oil, 1 Drop of Patchouli Essential Oil, 2 Drops of Citrus Burst Essential Oil Blend, 1 Drop of Clary Sage Essential Oil, Baby Powder Puff and a Small Wide Mouth Jar.

 

To make the Morning Glory Body Powder:

  1. In a small wide mouth jar, combine dry ingredients.
  2. In a separate small jar, mix essential oils with the almond oil.
  3. Add the oil ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir to mix.

 

 

Recipe 2: Fresh Natural Deodorant

I’ve been using a natural deodorant for years and I love that Simply Earth included a recipe in this month’s box for their Fresh Natural Deodorant. To make the Fresh Natural Deodorant, you’ll need 1/3 Cup Coconut Oil (Solid), 1 Tablespoon Beeswax, 15 Drops of Pine Essential Oil, 15 Drops of Clary Sage Essential Oil, 1/3 Cup of Cornstarch, 1 Tablespoon of Kaolin Clay, 1 Tablespoon of Zinc Oxide and the enclosed Deodorant Tube.

 

To make the Fresh Natural Deodorant:

  1. In the microwave using short intervals, melt the coconut oil and beeswax together. (Make sure you use a glass dish!)
  2. Remove from heat, add essential oils and stir.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients. This will cause the ingredients to quickly solidify. 
  4. Pour mixture into deodorant tube. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  5. To use: Apply to underarms. If this is your first time using natural deodorant, it typically takes 1 day to 3 weeks for your body to adjust.
