Trend One: Off the Shoulder / Cold Shoulder Tops and Dresses
The cold shoulder trend was one I loved last year. However, I never added any pieces to my wardrobe since I knew I couldn’t wear them to work and I like to get as much use out of my wardrobe as possible. Well, since the trend was back again this year I decided it was time to add some of it to my closet, as shown in this post! I love this dress, as it’s lightweight and perfect for a date night with heels or a more casual day, like a trip to the farmers market if paired with sandals. (P.S. This dress is still in stock, and you can shop it here.)
Trend Two: Block Heeled Sandals
Block sandals are huge this year and I am such a fan. They are incredibly comfortable and give you so much height. (I am only 5’3″ so I can use it haha!) Truthfully, I am not a big heels fan at all. I will pretty much always opt for pumps over heels. But these block heeled sandals are a total game changer. The ones you see in this post are available in four colors and I cannot recommend them enough! (For size reference, I normally wear a 6.5 but took a 7 in these.)
Trend Three: Woven / Cork Bags
I love how easily switching out your bag can totally change up your look. I think buying a new bag (or any accessory, really) is a great way to transition your wardrobe between seasons without spending a fortune. Woven or cork bags are all over this year, and they give such a spring/summer vibe to your outfit, like mine does in this post. Sadly, my exact bag you see here is sold out but here is the link in case it gets restocked. I also love this one.
Trend Four: Chambray Dress
Last year, I decided I wanted to add a chambray dress to my wardrobe. However, I waited too long to start looking for one so all of the ones I liked were sold out. Lucky for me (and you!) they are back this year, and I featured mine in this post. You can find them everywhere and at any price point. I picked up mine for less than $35. I wore it the day after purchasing it, which you know means it is a good buy haha!
Okay, okay. I wouldn’t necessarily call this one a trend since this style of top has been around for plenty of time now, but I am majorly obsessed with peplum tops right now. Not kidding, I have added four peplum tops to my wardrobe since probably April! The one you see here is my most recent purchase, but two of the other ones I picked up are included in this post in trends two and three.
