Happy Thursday, friends! I was in Scottsdale, Arizona recently and I got to spend part of the day with my sweet blogging friend Jodie and her husband. We went to Old Town where her excellent photographer husband shot some photos of us and then we enjoyed tea time at Tea Time Scottsdale. I was excited Aventura Clothing sent me a comfortable and breathable top and skirt that was perfect to wear while we spent the day in Old Town.
Aventura was kind enough to send us both outfits for our photo session. You can stop by Jodie’s blog HERE to see her article/outfit. When we got together, I noticed we had matching colors on! Jodie and her husband were so kind and accommodating and I hope I get to visit Scottsdale again soon. Jodie tends to get a lot of guests in her town, but I had actually met her first when she came to St. Louis several years ago. It was fun to meet up with her again and in her state this time!

For my outfit, I selected their Maitland Tank Top, which has spring written all over it! It has a subtle burnout print/texture. Aventura is known for their sustainable fabrics and the organic cotton and recycled polyester in this top make it soft and lightweight. Both fibers reduce the waste, water and emissions their conventional counterparts are tied to. This top is a little sheer, so I suggest wearing a cami under it or a nude bra/tank.
Next up is the Dell Skirt, which is 100% delightful, sustainable and flattering. Its charming A-line shape is enhanced with flirty, ruffled tiers at the bottom. What drew me to this skirt is the elastic, smocked waist. Unlike full elastic bands, it is more flexible and giving against your waist. Lastly, this skirt is made from 100% TENCEL™ Modal, a silk substitute that leaves almost no footprint on the environment.

I wanted to share a couple close-ups of my accessories. I brought this cross body bag that is long/wide enough to hold a Pro Max iPhone (the larger sized phone). The grass weave khaki color went with most of my Spring outfits on this trip and it was easy to carry along on day long excursions.
I wore my Noelle Arch Support Wedge sandals while at Old Town. These are SO comfortable and it felt as though I was walking on pillows the entire day. I don’t typically wear heals for shopping, but these were a great comfortable option. It was nice that I didn’t need to change shoes after shopping and before our tea time!

After strolling the shops in Old Town, we went to Tea Time Scottsdale, which was a lot of fun! This is mainly a tea shop, but recently they’ve brought a Full-Service Tea program that has food and desserts from several local bakeries in vendors in the Old Town area. It was fun to taste some different flavors from the area, such as these adorable desserts—Prickly Pear French Macaron and Vanilla Bean & White Chocolate “Tea Bag” Sugar Cookie with Edible Flowers. Our menus were even personalized with our names on them! Such fun! I’ll be sharing more about the tea time later on here when I do some recap posts from our trip.
