I received 2 of the boxes on the same day and the third box came the day after. They do let you select a few items from their database before they ship it out. AND, the stylist picks your items and they notify if you want to remove any of the items and have new ones selected before it ships out. My kitties were just as excited as me when the boxes arrived.
When you open the box, you’ll see the pieces they sent you and there will be a detailed note from your stylist and a large plastic bag to ship the pieces you don’t keep back to USPS. (The boxes arrived via Fedex.) I had a different stylist for each of my boxes. You get about 5 days to keep the items before you need to return the ones you don’t keep, but you can ask for an extension online. AND, after you return the pieces, make sure you cancel your subscription so they don’t automatically keep sending you more boxes. Now I’ll share with you want was in each box and what I kept, wanted to keep and did not want to keep at all.
Here are all of the pieces that were in the Style Edit box, 7 pieces total.
Like I said above, I only kept one piece from each box. The winner of the Style Edit box was this Wine Graphic Pullover in Cabernet ($68.00). This piece I saw on their Instagram and I requested it. When it arrived, I fell in love with it. I thought it’d be more of a t-shirt thickness, but it almost reminds me of a sweatshirt thickness, but more of a t-shirt feel (if that even makes sense).
Next we have the Plaid Cardigan in Navy and Orange ($59.00) on the left and the Kennedy Straight Leg Jeans in San Dimas ($109.00). The Plaid Cardigan may have been more tempting if I had seen it at the beginning of fall with the orange color, but I feel we’ll be getting more into ‘Christmas’ colors soon. I’m not a huge fan of straight leg jeans on myself… so it was a quick pass for me.
Next we have the Plaid Sweater Coatigan in Olive/Black ($88.00) on the left and a Floral Popcorn Cardigan in Charcoal Floral ($69.00) on the right. The Plaid Sweater Coatigan was just a dream… I loved the length, the soft sweater feel of it and it was really cute for a fun layering piece for the outdoors. But, I went back and forth with myself and decided I didn’t need it. I thought I’d love the Floral Popcorn Cardigan more, but I put it on and it just felt a little frumpy on me and was a quick no.
The last two pieces were both sweaters. The Hailey Sweater in Espresso ($88.00) and the Maried Funnel Sweater in Taupe ($74.00). Both of these sweaters were a quick let down by just the feel of them. Not soft at all. The Hailey Sweater had fun sleeves. The Maried Funnel Sweater was probably my favorite of the two… but, still, nothing really made me want to keep it.
The Sleep & Body Cozytober Box consists of robes, lounge wear, PJ’s, slippers, cozy socks and even lingerie. This box also included a free gift (I’ll show it below) if you purchased at least one item from it.
I’ll share the items I kept first with you from the Sleep & Body Box. When I tried on this Sleep Tight Rib Top in Pink ($59.00) along with the matching Dawn Rib Smocked Shorts ($49.00), I knew I had to keep them. They’re buttery soft and I can’t wait to lounge around in them this fall/winter! They also sent me a pair of boots, the Leigh Boot in Fairy Dust/Ivory ($42.00). I usually wear fuzzy socks and these boots were a bit pricey for what they were… so, hard no on those!
I was really hoping to find a new full length robe, but they sent me this super cute one that hit at the knees. Since it wasn’t full length, I passed on it. Plus, I felt like the color didn’t really go with my skin tone very well. It was SO cute with the cable knit and was very, very soft. This piece was their Cable Crew Lounge Robe in Blue Air ($118.00).
I really loved this Dreamy Hacci Pullover ($68.00) and the matching Joggers ($68.00) ((Photo on Left)) in Oatmeal. But, I just didn’t love the oatmeal color on me. If it had been in a different color, I think I may have kept it. It was SO soft, fit just right… and I could see myself in it most nights! The Monique Solid Knit Cami Short Set in Black ($58.00) was a hard no… I just didn’t like the fit/style on me… and it felt super cheap/thin.
Here is the free gift that I mentioned above that you automatically received if you purchased one item from the Sleep & Body box. It includes a Plush Eye Mask, Scrunchie, Sock set and zipper bag. I plan to save it to give to my teen daughter for her upcoming birthday.
The last box is the Active Cozytober Box, which has a lot of active/athleisure pieces in it such as jackets, sports bras, leggings, joggers, etc. This was probably my least favorite of the boxes I received… mainly because a lot of the pieces weren’t soft and felt kind of scratchy or just wouldn’t work out for my closet. A lot of the pieces had weird wash/dry requirements too and for athletic pieces, I want SUPER LOW FUSS when it comes to cleaning and maintaining them!!!
The Down To The Wire Tank in Black ($69.00) fit nicely, but it was SO scratchy and cheap feeling that I thought I could do better. I usually prefer sports bras over fitting sports bra tankinis anyhow. The High Waisted 7/8 Tight in Spice ($88.00) was a fun color, but I found something on Amazon in more of the red color that I was looking for… these looked more coral in real life (they look more red in these photos). Then in the photo on the right I added the Carefree Solid Hacci Cardigan in Black ($78.00). LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this throw on piece and it would be perfect in the morning when I throw on my workout clothes first thing in the morning and it is a little chilly in the house or it’d be great to wear as a little coverup outside the house if I have my workout clothes on. However, I looked at the washing label and it was wash separately, lay flat to dry and NO iron. It just seemed to be a little too much for an athletic piece that I may need to wash often. So, I passed on it! The fabric also seemed like it could pill easily. I really wanted to love the cardigan, though!!
(Left Photo) I really loved the Polar Fleece Full Zip in Navy Blazer ($88.00), but the collar was a bit annoying on it. The Enheartened Spacedye Bra in Washed Indigo ($66.00) was the one item I kept from this box. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay for a sports bra, but I wear sports bras six days a week for my workouts and I know I’ll use it A LOT. It’s super cute, a color I’ve been wanting and I like the cut/design of it. The Flex Flat Front Joggers in Navy ($78.00) were also really comfortable and I almost kept them… but, I have so many joggers already! (Now, the Photo on the Right) The Packable Puffer Jacket in Stargazer ($108.00) was an item I selected to be sent, but upon receiving it I was meh about it. I didn’t realize it was a ‘packable’ jacket when I selected it and it has this huge square zipper pocket on the front for folding and zipping the jacket up. Maybe if I hiked or camped, this would be great… but, it just wasn’t something I needed. The jacket hit weird on me too, I prefer a jacket to either be crop or preferably to sit just below my bum on the back side. It was a pretty color and I liked the weight of it, but it just wasn’t right for me.
This concludes my review of the Wantable Cozytober Boxes. These were a lot of fun to receive and tryout. I’m on the fence on if I’d do this one again… I do like the pieces I decided to keep, but I feel like spending close to $250.00 on 3 pieces was a bit on the high end. I felt obligated to buy at least one item after spending the styling fee. I feel like some of the pieces were really nice, yet some of the pieces seemed to feel a little cheap, wouldn’t wash easy and were still fairly pricey. I haven’t done one of these styling boxes in AGES, so it was a fun experience to try it out and I did like how they have different themed boxes (Style, Sleep/Cozy and Active). It arrived quickly and it was super easy to ship back the pieces I didn’t want. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my review and let me know if you’ve tried this styling box or if you plan to try it in the future!
