Hey everyone! I enjoy planning out some goals in a few categories each year and I plan to share them with you today.
I’ve broken my goals into several categories: Personal, Content Creation/Future Working Goals and Organizing/Decorating. I’m listing 3 items per category to keep it short and sweet this year.
Personal
- I always have a religious goal and this year I want to finish out my Prayer Journal for Women (I should finish it in June/July) and then in the fall I’d love to do the in person CBS Bible Group again. I did this group in 2019-2020 and just loved it. You typically focus on 2-4 books of the Bible over a 9 month period and they put you in small groups of 10.
- I have REALLY been into running lately, it is just one of my FAVORITE things right now. I go through phases, but I really think setting some goals and working with my running coach has REALLY helped me!! It also gets me outside and I think it is a great mental booster. As far as running goals, I am still workings towards that SUB 2:00 half marathon (4 minutes away from it!) and I’ll be traveling a few hours outside St. Louis to Springfield, MO for the Go Girl Half Marathon this Spring! I found a really cute boutique hotel and a fun place to have a pasta dinner at the evening before. Yay! Some other running goals I plan to continue is reading a couple of mental toughness books my coach recommended to me (Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins and Living with Seal by Jesse Izler). My coach mentioned Jesse Izler has a thing with coconut water and I’m curious to find out more about that. I want to continue to do ALL my training runs OUTSIDE (and staying off my treadmill!). I want to look into Track Club Babe’s half marathon core and leg strength workouts too, but that may be something I’ll do for my fall half marathon (since I’ll have more time in the summer).
- I really want to get better about doing my skincare regime in the evening. I am GREAT about it in the morning, but I rarely wear makeup these days, so by the time the evening rolls around I just go to bed without washing my face. I had a facial awhile back and the lady told me the nighttime skincare is MORE important than the daytime skincare, so at my age I really don’t want to be skipping it. Especially since you use retinol in the evening, etc. I want to research some products too for the evening and try a few new things… I do love my City Beauty, Tula and Colleen Rothchild though!! But, I want to look into retinol more and maybe some products that focus on the skin around the eyes. If you have any products you LOVE, drop them in the comments!! I would also LOVE to have a nice facial day sometime this year at the The Only Facial… maybe for my birthday this year?
Content Creation/Future Working Goals
- As far as Content Creation, I had my blog template redone last year and the last thing I really need to do is update my logo. I had some brand photos done and I’d like to incorporate them more in social media. I need to go through my master blogging ‘to do’ list with a fine tooth comb and see what I still want to do. I feel recipe/decor/craft posts are my BEST posts when it comes to Pinterest and I’d love to create one of those a month.
- I want to spend a little time reflecting/researching/whatever you call it to figure out what I want me next path to be now that BOTH my teens are driving themselves and Autumn has 2.5 years left of high school. I kind of feel a shift occurring in my life and I need to figure out what I want to be doing next or if I want to make any changes.
Organizing/Decorating
- There are a couple rooms I need to finish decorating (they are SO close to being done), mainly my home office and Autumn’s room. I have a few things to finish in the unfinished basement, which is mostly decluttered and organized.
- I’ve been wanting to get new carpet in the living room, stairs and our bedrooms and well, I’ve been dragging my feet on that. I’d love to do that this year, along with new couches in the living room and possibly have a faux fireplace/mantle custom built on the living room wall that faces the staircase.
- Organize/deep clean/update little things in one room of the house each month. I did this last year and I want to continue it in 2025!!
Not all of these are very exciting or intensive, but they’re what I’m feeling for this year. I hope you are having a great start to 2025 and I’d love to hear a goal you are excited about this year!
I’d LOVE for you to follow me on the below platforms! Let me know if you decide to follow me on any of them in the comments, because I’d love to follow you back!
