We love our cat very much and she’s a huge part of our family. I always feel that during the summer, it is a little more challenging to give her as much love as the days are longer and we are outside more (she’s an indoor cat). It’s no mystery why I love my cat, Rose. Rose was a birthday present for my husband and she couldn’t have been more perfect for him! His last cat was a siamese and I couldn’t find that particular breed, but did find a lady selling rag doll cats. We drove out to this lady’s house and my husband fell in love with Rose as soon as he saw her. She is the most sweet, gentle and loving cat! She really is the perfect fit for our family.

5 Ways to Show your Cat Love this Summer (and to Avoid Kitty Boredom!)
1. Shop at PetSmart to stock up on your cat’s favorite Purina® items!
2. Take a cat nap together as a family (with the cats!) after a long busy day.
Our cat loves to lay in her cat hammock on our bed, I love it so we can avoid her getting fur all over our bed.
3. Learn their love language.
Each cat is different and it’s important to learn their love language. Listen to your cat and learn what they love and what they don’t love.
4. Find activities for them to do while you’re gone during the day.
I grow herbs indoors and in the past I’ve grown fresh cat nip and even cat grass. My cat loves to sniff these herbs throughout the day! You could also keep the blinds open to a window so they can ‘sunbathe’ or sprinkle bird seed on the back patio, so they can bird watch.
5. Let them hang out with you in the bathroom in the morning.
Rose loves to hang out in the bathroom with my husband every morning while he gets ready. This way she gets some attention from him before he is gone all day. I think it’s important to carve out little windows of time to spend with them.
