Today I am taking you on a tour of our master bedroom, to see how I have decorated our two nightstands. I have been working on decorating our Master Bedroom and Bathroom for awhile now and I like to show little works in progress (sneak peaks) every now and then…
Recently Canvas Champ contacted me to see if I wanted to send them a photo to print on one of their 8 x 12″ canvases. I hadn’t heard of Canvas Champ before, but it was perfect timing, because I wanted to make a canvas print from one of our professional beach photos from last summer. I have had canvas prints done before and I honestly can say that this is the best quality I have ever received. The coloring, lighting and contrast of the photo was perfect. I decided it was the perfect size to hang above my husband’s nightstand in our bedroom. I will be using Canvas Champ from now on and I can’t wait to get some more of our beach photos made into canvases with them.
I sent them an image that was sized at 8×12″ and they wrapped the image around all four sides of the canvas without any distorting.
Our master bedroom is done in gray, yellow and white with hints of deep purple. I found this yellow frame with a b/w photo of the Eiffel Tower on it at World Market. Brian proposed to me under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, so I always sneak hints of it in our decor since it has special meaning to us.
We keep our nightstands in our bedroom fairly simply decorated. His lamp and lampshade is from West Elm. The lamp is clear and I found a set of 3 gold metal bursts at Target and the smallest one is inside the lamp. Brian collects cuff links and I purchased him a cuff link holder from Red Envelope awhile back. The frame next to the canvas is an illustration of the new Busch Stadium (home of the STL Cardinals! Yeah!).
Now for MY nightstand. I keep my nightstand fairly functional and simple, too.
The ‘Oh Deer’ sign is new and the antlers are actually in a gold foil, but due to the lighting you can’t tell. Sorry, but we have had A LOT of nonstop rain here in St. Louis and interior photos can be hard when you have a week of overcast days! I do a lot of reading and journaling in bed and you’ll see my prayer journal with my tea mug on top.
The yellow lamp is from West Elm as well and the yellow matches our bedspread perfectly. I am in love with agates right now and this purple one that is gold crusted holds a simple candle and my wedding ring dish perfectly. I got the sliced agate at HomeGoods, the chevron candle & holder at Pottery Barn and the little heart dish that holds my rings (and says ‘Dream’ on the inside) was a souvenir for myself from our hotel in Destin last year.
I also keep my favorite bible verse on my nightstand, this was gifted to me from my husband when I was going through a hard time several years ago and will probably always be on my nightstand.
