Are you ready for July already? I feel like once July hits, the summer is almost over… maybe because my kids go back to school in mid-August… so, July is the last FULL month of their summer break. Boo. July brings on the heat and if I am not living in either (a) PJ’s or (b) swimsuit then I want to be comfortable. While visiting NYC I saw that H&M is quite popular there… I saw a lot of people carrying H&M bags… and heck, the H&M building there is HUUUUGE… they even had a live D.J. and a runway in the store! So, of course… I found these adorable shorts in a floral print in the H&M store and hadda have.

Of course, Autumn asked me if these floral print shorts were underwear when she saw me dressed in the morning. Gotta love her. 🙂 I said no, see they have pockets! Her face lit up and she told me she just LOVED my floral shorts! And, I love that they have pockets for me to stow my iPhone away in… or my keys.

You know what else I found at the H&M in NYC? These feather earrings in a cream color! They were only $1 and it included another pair of feather earrings in coral and 2 sets of faux diamond studs. I love the clearance rack! The flower power necklace in coral that I am wearing is from Molly Suzanne’s, I got it for $10 (with free shipping!) last Fall when she had them on sale… it is $25 now.

I considered sandals with this outfit… but, went with the Toms lace flats. So comfy. I really need to get a pair of Toms wedges… I am not sure why I haven’t yet, but I need to.

When I was reviewing the photos that Brian took of me I saw this one and loved it… but, then I thought… oh, no! It looks like a maternity shot! So, if you are looking at this and thinking, hmmm… sorry, no, it is just that I suck at posing sometimes! This is just a detail shot… I am wearing a lace bracelet in gold from F21, I thought it’d match with the lace Toms I am wearing.

The shirt I am wearing for this outfit is actually a swimsuit COVER UP from Macy’s! Not sure if you could tell… but, after doing the 30×30 Challenge four times, I have really learned out to get good use out of my closet. I have styled dresses as shirts, dresses as just skirts… well, now I am styling a cover up as just a top with my shorts. Why not? I think when we go to Destin next month, I am going to wear this same exact outfit, but with my swimsuit under it… Thanks to What Wives Wear, I have gotten a lot of outfits for vacation figured out. 🙂

I really couldn’t decide on if I should wear the cream or the coral feather earrings… I went with the cream since there is some cream in the shorts and my Toms are a cream color. Such fun earrings! Do you ever feel like you get in a rut with your accessories and you need to purchase a few new things? I am feeling that way lately… I need to either visit Charming Charlie again or do a little more online shopping at Molly Suzannes!

This outfit would be really cute I think with a rose or mint colored tank… I also have a black tank in my closet and I am going to see how it looks with the shorts, not sure if it’ll be too much ‘black’, but perhaps I can wear a mint necklace with it… And, look!! Here are the pockets again!
