Today I’m sharing another Disney recap, this time it is our visit to Hollywood Studios. There is a lot of construction going on at Hollywood Studios and it is all about Star Wars right now. There wasn’t AS much to do there this time, but I know our next trip back in 2 years will be awesome with the new Star Wars area, Toy Story rollercoaster and more!

Upon entering the park, Autumn and I went to see the Beauty and the Beast show. This is one of my favorites and we saw it 4 years ago. It was extra special to Autumn, since Belle is her favorite princess right now.
While we were at Beauty and the Beast, Brian and Nathan went on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for the first time. They said it was pretty intense. Ha!
It was really hot at Hollywood Studios that day and all I could think of what I wanted after Beauty and the Beast was an iced coffee. We also picked up some cute Disney treats.
Autumn and her Minnie Mouse cake pop. Disney really goes all out on their desserts!
Brian was really excited about Captain Phasma and the march of the first order. They did this every hour or so.
Brian and Nathan had fun getting photos taken with some of the Star Wars characters at the Star Wars Launch Bay, such as BB-8.
This picture of Brian and Nathan with Chewbacca makes me smile.
Don’t worry… Autumn didn’t miss out! We found Olaf!
Before lunch, Autumn and I went into the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and I fell in love with these princess slipper ornaments. I landed up buying the Rapunzel one and plan to add one to my collection every trip to Disney.
The cashier at the Christmas shop was so sweet! She had the coolest pin collection. Autumn traded for a Miss Piggy pin.
Here is a close up of her Miss Piggy pin.
Lunch at Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano
We ate at Mama Melrose again (two trips in a row) for part of the Fantasmic package. For my appetizer, I got the Fresh Mozzarella and Vipe-Ripened Tomatoes. This is a lunch/dinner plus show package. Unfortunately, it rained and stormed for our 8:00 p.m. Fantastic showing and we went back to the resort. In all honesty, it was kind of nice to get back to the hotel to rest a bit before the Magic Kingdom the next day. Our first Disney trip with the kids we got to see Fantasmic, but the last two trips it has been rained out. Bummer!!
The Fantasmic Package includes a meal (select restaurants) plus a ticket to see the Fantasmic show. The show isn’t any extra and has two showing times later in the evening. The show consists of fireworks, characters, live actors, water effects, pyrotechnics, lasers, music, decorated boat floats and more. It is really neat!
My main dish was Shrimp Campanelle, so good!
Autumn turned her spaghetti into a smiley face before she ate it. LOL.
For dessert, we had the dessert sampler. It included Lemon Cheesecake topped with Passion Fruit Pearks, Tiramisu and Valencia Blood Orange Cake.
After lunch, we went on the Star Tours ride. We’ve been on this one before and it is a lot of fun. The kids always enjoy making Lego Droids in the gift shop afterwards.
Every other hour, there would be a show called ‘A Galaxy Far, Far Away’. I was so glad we got to see it before it stormed!
Another photo we had taken with Memory Maker! I love how they can add things into the photo and you don’t even realize it until it shows up on your Disney app.
Every park has a Starbucks and we finally figured that out a few days into the trip! You can order ANY size on any drink for a snack with the Disney Dining plan!
Dinner at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
We had never eaten at this place before, but we noticed it on our last Disney trip and we decided to check it out.
Outside the restaurant, you can see they’re working on some sort of Star Wars ride.
Our waiter was kind enough to take a photo of us sitting in our car! It is really neat, they have 50’s diner type food and movies on while you eat. I had a key lime milkshake and the Southern Burger. The Southern Burger was SO good! It was served on a Brioche roll, topped with a fried green tomato, pimento cheese, bacon and lettuce.
This wraps up my Hollywood Studio post. Next week will be my last Disney post, I’ll be sharing our trip to the Magic Kingdom!
