During our staycation last weekend, we stayed at t During our staycation last weekend, we stayed at the @DruryHotels St. Louis at the Arch.☀️🧳 #ad This was in a prime downtown location, with the St. Louis Arch BEHIND the hotel and Busch Stadium (Go St. Louis Cardinals!)❤️🤍 within walking distance. Our room at Drury Hotel was cozy and the perfect place to relax for our staycation. The hotel was friendly and clean with a built in parking garage that was secure and convenient. There is an indoor pool and hot tub💦 for kids, teens or adults that love to swim and relax. They have a hot breakfast🥞🥚 every morning and a 5:30 p.m. Kickback with wine, beer, cocktails and soda with warm appetizers and snacks. A warm buffet breakfast greets you in the lobby in the morning, which is included in your stay. The @STLZoo🐻 🐍 🐫 🦁 planned a fun day for us and we enjoyed the train, one of the new polar bear twins🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️ and much more. All in all, such a fun day and beautiful weather! Well, I ran half marathon #2️⃣2️⃣ last wee Well, I ran half marathon #2️⃣2️⃣ last weekend!!! I went out of town, specifically because the @GoGirlRunSeries Half Marathon in Springfield, MO looked like it would be a GOOD one for me. And I SUCCEEDED!! I honestly have to THANK my coach, because she has helped me fine tune my training more than I ever could have… and I had a magical day with PERFECT weather! I tried carb loading for the first time ever and felt great!!!! Not only did I come away with a sub 2 hour goal (I have never seen my husband so animated and excited when he saw me right before the finish line), but I got my first ever age group award!!! I finished at 1:59:15, 9:06 pace!! Third place in my age group!!! Nearly a 4 minute PR!!!! Not sure what my next goal is, but we will see!!! I may be 47, but I DID it!!! And so thankful for the girl in the yellow tutu that I stayed behind the entire last 2 miles, she was going painfully fast, but I made it my goal to keep up with her and finish strong!!!
